chirp & perch (formerly Indie Made) began as an online retail outlet for handmade homewares and gifts by Humblewood - a long-established maker based in Cumbria. Humblewood sells mainly through small shops and galleries, but occasionally a retail customer approached them direct because there wasn't a stockist nearby, or their nearest one didn't have a particular item available.

Having taken the plunge into world of online retailing it makes sense to expand the shop's offerings beyond Humblewood. So here you will find a broad range of home, personal and gift ideas from several small, mainly UK-based, makers, artists and other suppliers. We do our best to ensure items are as ethically and sustainably produced / sourced as we can.

Bob and Eunice Bryant, aka Humblewood, are the creators of a range of home and gift items from sustainably-sourced natural materials. Pieces are hand made using combinations of native hardwoods, veg-tanned leather, wool felt and beeswax (to name a few!). While inspired by the clean lines of Scandinavian and more broadly, ‘mid-century modern’ design, we have developed our own contemporary style. IndieMade’s items are well made, functional and eye-catching.
